I wanted to create a writing prompt to go along with the story. I like to always have a differentiated option since not all students are on the same level.
Students can use this version below that has a writing prompt to get students thinking about what kind of treats they would leave for Santa. They can do the writing, then illustrate their picture.
The other writing prompt is open ended. Students can write about what they want Santa to bring them, their favorite part of the story, what treats they would leave for Santa, etc.
