Organizational Tips For Your Files
If you’ve been following me, you know I’m a bit OCD, so getting organized is not a problem for me! 🙂 This past Summer, I went through ALL of my literacy and math center files and games which was 2 whole filing cabinets!! I organized all of the centers by topic instead of by month. The white containers are math and the teal containers are reading. It has been a lot easier to find a skill if I need some review, instead of digging through files trying to remember what month that topic was introduced.
Inside each container I made a binder that included all of the worksheets and cards that go with those worksheets. If a binder included a few topics such as beginning sounds, ending sounds, and rhyming sounds, then I separated those worksheets into the correct category {see below}.
Also inside each tub, I made a giant file folder of all the games for each skill. Now, when we work on beginning sounds, I just grab this file folder full of games and find what I want. SO much easier!!

This is a great idea! We don't do centers in literacy but I love this idea for math! Right now I have my math games organized in file folders by objective, it's kind of super messy! I love this idea. Thanks for sharing!
I do think it'd be fun to help teachers organize and decorate their rooms!
Thanks, I use the same color scheme in my class so everything flows!
You're welcome, glad you could get some ideas from this post!
OMG I need to do this so bad! I love that you include the binders for worksheets.
Thank you for motivating me to organize my room! Your ideas are awesome!
